Keystone is
recognized by the Joint Commission on Accreditation
of Healthcare Organizations for patient safety,
quality of care and overall performance. Joint Commission accreditation recognizes that Keystone Health Center has demonstrated compliance with national standards for patient safety and quality of care, and that the organization has met an absolute standard that reflects a high level of performance. The Joint Commission's follow-up report on the November 2003 on-site survey rated Keystone Health Center compliant in all areas, with the vast majority of those areas receiving the best score possible. The Joint Commission's standards addressed Keystone Health Center's level of performance in key functional areas, such as patient rights, patient treatment, and infection control. "This accreditation is due to the relentless, conscientious work of our physicians, nurses and entire staff to provide high-quality care," said Joanne Cochran, President and CEO of Keystone Health Center, upon learning of the results. "We are pleased to be recognized by the Joint Commission for the care we provide to our community." In addition to the Joint Commission's survey results, patients also rated Keystone Health Center very highly in a recent internal survey of patient satisfaction. With such categories as ease of getting care, waiting time, staff friendliness and patient confidentiality, patients rated Keystone Health Center on a scale from one to five, with one being "Great" and five being "Poor." Over 400 patients participated in the survey and the final results announced Keystone Health Center as being "Great" in 15 of the 25 categories, with the remaining 10 categories being rated as "Good". "We are delighted our patients feel so positive about the services we are providing," Ms. Cochran, added. "We are committed to offering quality health, dental and behavioral services to the residents or our community.
