Dr. Choi, who is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and board eligible in pediatrics, completed a combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency program at the State University of New York - Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. She received her MD from Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and completed her supervised clinical work at St. Joseph’s Medical Center through the Fifth Pathway Program at New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY. Her Bachelor of Science degree is from California State University, Dominguez Hills in Carson, California. Prior to joining Keystone, Dr. Choi was in private practice in California. Internal medicine physicians specialize in the care of adults, and pediatricians specialize in the care of infants, children, and adolescents. Med-Peds physicians, the shorthand for doctors who specialize in both areas, receive in-depth training in complex health issues, critical care, and hospital based services for all ages of patients. Their in-depth training compliments the broader training of family physicians when working in the same family practice. “Dr. Choi brings a new dimension to the delivery of services at Keystone Family Practice by being a Med-Peds physician,” said Joanne Cochran, Keystone Health Center’s President and CEO. “While she treats patients from newborns to the elderly, just as our family physicians do, her more intensive training in her specialties has enhanced the care we can provide at our family practice.” Dr. Choi, who is fluent in Korean, Spanish, and Japanese as well as English, and reads and writes Chinese, is accepting new patients of all ages. Keystone Family Practice, located at 820 Fifth Avenue, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, provides family medical care, including behavioral health and social services, to anyone regardless of ability to pay.
