KEYSTONE HEALTH CENTER NAMES DR. YVETTE BROWN ASSISTANT CHIEF OFFICER OF OB/GYN PRACTICE

(Chambersburg, PA) - Keystone Health Center announces the new position of Yvette Brown, MD, to Keystone Women's Care (KWC) as Assistant Chief OB/GYN Officer. Dr. Brown will perform in dual capacity as Assistant Chief OB/GYN Officer and OB/GYN Physician.

In making the announcement, Joanne Cochran, president and CEO of Keystone Health Center, said, "Dr. Brown is not only an extraordinary obstetrician and gynecologist whose practices have aided our patients, but she is highly motivated by the mission of our organization which is to provide quality, highly skilled and compassionate health care to all residents of the community."

As Assistant Chief OB/GYN Officer, Dr. Brown will assist Thomas Orndorf, MD, FACOG, Medical Director, and assume his duties in his absence. She will also assist in the development and implementation of KWC Peer Review and Quality Improvement Programs; attend KWC practitioner, financial and committee meetings as requested by Dr. Orndorf; assist with education and development of staff on billing, coding, and other topics; and, coordinate efforts to improve efficiency of KWC clinical operations.

A practicing physician for 10 years, Dr. Brown earned her M.D. from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Philadelphia's MCP Hahnemann University. Dr. Brown is a Junior Fellow with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the Chambersburg Hospital's Birthplace Committee as well as Meredith College's Board of Trustees. A published author, Dr. Brown has co-written several healthcare publications.

Keystone Women's Care, located at 757 Norland Avenue, Suite 206, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, specializes in obstetrical and gynecological health care, providing annual exams, family-centered obstetrics, high-risk pregnancy care, family planning, basic infertility care, breast care, adolescent health care, and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, sexual dysfunction, and PMS. Additional services provided include female incontinence management and treatment, osteoporosis care and prevention, and menopause and transition management.

Keystone Women's Care is staffed with four obstetricians/gynecologists, including Thomas P. Orndorf, MD, FACOG; Margaret M. O'Reilly, MD, MPH, FACOG; Yvette Brown, MD; and, Sushma Bhadauria, MD. The center also has two certified nurse midwives on staff, Darlanna Besecker, CNM, and Sarah Widmann, CNM.

Keystone Health Center, a public, non-profit organization, provides high-quality medical, obstetric, gynecological and dental health care and, when needed, social services to underserved and vulnerable populations as well as the entire community population of approximately 126,000 in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. At present, Keystone Rural Health Center operates five primary care sites: Keystone Health Center family practice, Keystone Dental Center, Keystone Women's Care, Keystone Health Center-Path Valley satellite family practice, and the State Migrant Farmworker Administration office. Keystone also operates one year-round migrant and seasonal farmworker site in Berks County and one seasonal farmworker site in Adams County. Services are also provided through outreach workers and contracted providers across the Commonwealth.
