NATIONAL HIV TESTING DAY IS JUNE 27
(Chambersburg, PA) -- June 27, 2007, is National HIV Testing Day. As in past years, Keystone Health Center, Chambersburg, PA, extends an open invitation to the community to participate in free, confidential HIV testing. Keystone will offer free testing, which requires no blood draw, on Wednesday, June 27, in the lobby of its family medicine practice at 820 Fifth Avenue, Chambersburg. No appointment is necessary. Testing will be provided from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. While June 27 is the nationally designated day to promote HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention, Keystone Health Center offers free HIV testing services throughout the year. Anyone who would like to be tested but is unable to attend the June 27 event may call 217-4242 to schedule free testing on another day. In addition to free testing, Keystone currently provides comprehensive services related to the needs of individuals who may be infected, as well as families affected by HIV/AIDS. Keystone Health Center, a not-for-profit Community Health Center, provides high-quality family medicine, internal medicine, pediatric, obstetric, gynecological, cardiac, behavioral, and dental health care and, when needed, social services to anyone in the community including the underserved and vulnerable populations. No one is turned away due to inability to pay. Keystone now operates six full-time primary care practices—Keystone Family Medicine, Keystone Internal Medicine, Keystone Behavioral Health, Keystone Dental Care, Keystone Women's Care, and Franklin County Pediatrics—and one full-time specialty practice, the Franklin County Heart Center. Keystone also operates one year-round migrant and seasonal farmworker site in Berks County and one seasonal farmworker site in Adams County. Services to migrant farmworkers are also provided through outreach workers and contracted providers across the Commonwealth.
