KEYSTONE HEALTH CENTER NAMES EDUARDO E. FRANCHI AS CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER (Chambersburg, PA) - Keystone Health Center in Chambersburg, PA announces the appointment of Eduardo E. Franchi, RHP, to the newly formed position of Chief Operations Officer. In this position Franchi will oversee the operations at Keystone’s six medical and dental practice sites. In making the announcement, Joanne Cochran, president and CEO of Keystone Health Center, said, "We are pleased to have Ed join the management team of Keystone. With his expertise in organizational operations, we hope to improve patient flow, redesign processes, and provide services in a more efficient and timely fashion.” In his role as Chief Operations Officer, Franchi’s goal is to fine tune the structure of the operations at each of Keystone’s practices so they operate more efficiently and more effectively resulting in improved service to Keystone’s patients and improved financial stability for each practice. Franchi’s health care career has included a wide variety of health care settings such as independent and assisted living nursing homes, hospice home care, and skilled nursing care. Prior to joining Keystone, he was an administrator for an ophthalmology practice. Franchi moved to Chambersburg, with his wife and two children, from the Northern Virginia area about four years ago. When asked why he joined Keystone Health Center, Franchi replied, “The majority of my health care career has been in the not-for-profit arena. I like that environment very much and like being able to provide the much needed services to all patients regardless of their ability to pay.” Franchi earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Franchi also completed a Retirement Housing Professional (RHP) certification program offered by the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA), which gives those who complete the program comprehensive training in all areas of management, administration, and service provision related to senior housing. Franchi also has certification as a Financial Evaluator from the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission, an independent accrediting body sponsored by the AAHSA.
