Begin a Rewarding Career - Join Keystone Health’s Team of Professionals

Keystone Health is a public, non-profit organization employing more than 300 caring and compassionate physicians, nurses and staff members who provide quality health care to individuals and families with and without health insurance.

Co-founded in 1986 by Joanne Cochran, president and CEO, Keystone Health operates as a network of six primary care sites - Keystone Family Medicine, Keystone Behavioral Health, Keystone Internal Medicine, Keystone Dental Care, Keystone Women's Care, and Franklin County Pediatrics - and one specialty practice, Franklin County Heart Center, in Chambersburg, PA. Keystone Health also offers primary care services to migrant and seasonal farmworkers at locations across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Our Mission

At Keystone Health our mission is to eliminate barriers to health care by providing affordable, accessible and compassionate medical, dental and support services to men, women and children of all ages, races and economic backgrounds. As we continue to work toward increasing access to health care for the uninsured and underserved, we are also faced with understanding patient needs that go well beyond basic primary health care. Differing cultures, varied languages, and other barriers prevent many people from seeking medical care that could promote a healthier lifestyle and result in improved health status. By recognizing such needs, Keystone has made it a part of its mission to adapt and meet the requirements of special populations, offering a system of health care delivery that ensures primary health care for all, regardless of special circumstances.

Keystone is reaching out to immigrants, migrant farmworkers, homeless people, at-risk children, the frail elderly, residents of public housing, a broad range of racial, ethnic and language groups, and those at risk for HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, and other chronic and catastrophic diseases.

Employee insurance coverage paid by Keystone Health varies depending upon the status of the employee. Regular part-time employees working at least 25 or more hours per week are eligible to receive a portion of their medical and insurance coverage paid by Keystone Health. You can inquire about further details during the job interview.

1. MEDICAL INSURANCE. All insurances offered by Keystone Health are effective on the first day of the month following date of hire.

The Keystone Health health insurance is a Preferred Provider Option (PPO), with various levels of coverage (employee, employee and child, employee and children, employee and spouse, and family).

Keystone Health's Preferred Provider Option (PPO) combines with a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) through HealthAmerica. This plan offers in-network coverage with co-payment for office visits and an annual deductible and coinsurance for other services. The employee is responsible for the first $750 of the $2500 annual deductible. Keystone Health, through the HRA, is responsible for the remaining $1750 of the annual deductible. After the deductible is satisfied, you will pay 20% for most covered services and the insurance company will pay 80% for most covered services until your out-of-pocket limit is satisfied.

2. DENTAL INSURANCE. Basic Dental coverage is available for employee, employee and child, employee and children, employee and spouse, and family.

3. LIFE INSURANCE. Keystone Health provides regular full-time employees and regular part-time employees who work at least 25 hours per week with Group Term Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Coverage as a part of its flexible benefit program. Employees may also purchase additional voluntary group life and dependent life coverage through payroll deductions.

4. OTHER INSURANCE. Short and long-term disability and vision coverage, payable through payroll deductions, is available at group rates for regular employees who work at least 25 hours per week.

Loan Payback Programs

State: Under the Pennsylvania Primary Health Care Practitioner Loan Repayment Program, eligible primary care providers may apply for loan repayment aid if they are employed continuously for a four-year time period in a full-time primary care practice at an approved location in a Health Professional Shortage Area.

This program was recently enhanced and offers an opportunity for two additional years of loan repayment aid. Physicians, RN’s, and individuals with extended nursing certificates are eligible to apply.

Keystone Health is an approved location for state loan repayment program participants. To find the eligibility requirements and see how the state loan repayment program works, visit the state’s website at www.dsf.health.state.pa.us/health/CWP/view.asp?A=169, and click on the Loan Repayment Program link.

Federal: Through the federal National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program, operated by the Health Resources and Services Administration, fully trained health professionals who are dedicated to working with the underserved and have qualifying educational loans are eligible to compete for repayment of those loans if they choose to serve in a community of greatest need. In addition to loan repayment, these clinicians receive a competitive salary, some tax relief benefits, and a chance to have a significant impact on a community.

Keystone Health is an approved location for federal loan repayment program participants. To learn the details of the federal loan repayment program, visit http://nhsc.bhpr.hrsa.gov/join_us/lrp.asp.
