EMPLOYMENT
Begin
a Rewarding Career - Join Keystone Healthcare Network’s Team of
Professionals
Keystone Health Center is a public, non-profit organization employing
more than 300 caring and compassionate physicians, nurses and staff members
who provide quality health care to individuals and families with and without
health insurance.
Co-founded in 1986 by
Joanne Cochran, president and CEO, Keystone
Health Center
operates as a network of six primary care sites - Keystone Family Medicine,
Keystone Behavioral Health, Keystone Internal Medicine, Keystone Dental Care,
Keystone Women's Care, and Franklin County Pediatrics - and one specialty
practice, Franklin County Heart
Center, in Chambersburg, PA.
The Keystone Healthcare Network also includes a year-round migrant and
seasonal farmworker site in Berks
County and a seasonal farmworker site in Adams County.
Our Mission
At Keystone Health
Center our mission is to eliminate barriers to health care by providing
affordable, accessible and compassionate medical, dental and support services
to men, women and children of all ages, races and economic backgrounds. As we
continue to work toward increasing access to health care for the uninsured
and underserved, we are also faced with understanding patient needs that go
well beyond basic primary health care. Differing cultures, varied languages,
and other barriers prevent many people from seeking medical care that could
promote a healthier lifestyle and result in improved health status. By
recognizing such needs, Keystone has made it a part of its mission to adapt
and meet the requirements of special populations, offering a system of health
care delivery that ensures primary health care for all, regardless of special
circumstances.
Keystone is reaching
out to immigrants, migrant farmworkers, homeless
people, at-risk children, the frail elderly, residents of public housing, a
broad range of racial, ethnic and language groups, and those at risk for
HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, and other chronic and catastrophic diseases.
Benefits
We pride ourselves in
providing an Employee Benefit Program that is fair to our employees and
competitive with the programs offered by practices of a similar nature.

Employee insurance
coverage paid by Keystone
Health Center
may vary depending upon the position and employment status of the employee.
Regular part-time employees working at least 25 or more hours per week are
eligible to receive a portion of their medical and insurance coverage paid by
Keystone Health Center.
You can inquire about further details during the job interview.
1.
MEDICAL INSURANCE. The
Keystone Health Center
flexible benefit program includes a choice of medical plans, each with
different costs and levels of coverage (individual, two-party and family
coverage). Employee coverage commences effective on the first day of the
month following date of hire for a full time or a part time status regularly
working at least 25 hours per week.
Keystone Health
Center’s basic medical insurance
plan is its Comprehensive Major Medical plan with a $750 deductible. Eligible
employees, depending upon the available options from time to time, may be
offered alternatives to the Comprehensive Major Medical plan that carry a
lower deductible, for example, a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan.
Regular employees who select one of these plans pay additional premium costs
through payroll deductions (i.e., the difference between the premium for the
alternative plan and the amount that Keystone Health
Center would pay for
coverage under the Comprehensive Major Medical Plan).
2. DENTAL
INSURANCE. Basic
Dental coverage also is available for individual, two-party and family
coverage.
3. LIFE
INSURANCE. Keystone Health Center
provides regular full-time employees and regular part-time employees who work
at least 25 hours per week with Group Term Life, Accidental Death and
Dismemberment Coverage as a part of its flexible benefit program. Employees
may also purchase additional voluntary group life and dependent life coverage
through payroll deductions.
4. OTHER
INSURANCE. Short
and long-term disability and vision coverage, payable through payroll
deductions, is available at group rates for regular employees who work at
least 25 hours per week.
5.
REIMBURSEMENT FOR HEALTH CARE EXPENSES. In addition to the above health insurance programs,
Keystone Health Center has several programs that provide for reimbursement of
a portion of some "out-of-pocket" employee health care expenses not
covered by insurance when the employee received the health care from a
Keystone Health Center provider (i.e., from Keystone Health Center's family,
internal medicine, behavioral health, pediatrics, women's care, or dental
practices).
Loan Payback Programs
State: Under the Pennsylvania Primary
Health Care Practitioner Loan Repayment Program, eligible primary care
providers may apply for loan repayment aid if they are employed continuously
for a four-year time period in a full-time primary care practice at an
approved location in a Health Professional Shortage Area.
This program was
recently enhanced and offers an opportunity for two additional years of loan
repayment aid. Physicians,
RN’s individuals with extended nursing certificates are eligible to
apply.
Keystone Health
Center is an approved location for
state loan repayment program participants. To find the eligibility
requirements and see how the state loan repayment program works, visit the
state’s website at www.dsf.health.state.pa.us/health/CWP/view.asp?A=169,
and click on the Loan Repayment Program link.
Federal: Through the federal National
Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program, operated by the Health
Resources and Services Administration, fully trained health professionals who
are dedicated to working with the underserved and have qualifying educational
loans are eligible to compete for repayment of those loans if they choose to
serve in a community of greatest need. In addition to loan repayment, these
clinicians receive a competitive salary, some tax relief benefits, and a
chance to have a significant impact on a community.
Keystone Health
Center is an approved location for
federal loan repayment program participants. To learn the details of the
