What is an Internal Medicine Doctor? Internal medicine doctors (also known as internists) are trained to diagnose and treat infections, cancer, and diseases affecting the heart, kidneys, joints, and the digestive, respiratory, and vascular systems. They also are trained in disease prevention, wellness, and substance abuse. Internal medicine doctors only treat adults (patients 18 years of age and older), unless they have additional training in pediatrics. |

She received her MD from Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and completed her supervised clinical work at St. Joseph’s Medical Center through the Fifth Pathway Program at New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY. Dr. Henderson completed his residency at North Shore University Hospital-NYU School of Medicine and served an internship at North Shore University Hospital-Cornell University Medical College. His residency and internship included work at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He earned his medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY and his Bachelor of Science degree from St. John’s University in Jamaica, NY.

General Patient Information for Keystone Internal Medicine Office Hours - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Thursday 8:00 am – 7:00 pm Emergencies When the Office Is Closed - If you have a serious emergency, immediately call 911 or go to the hospital emergency room. When the office is closed, if you have a serious medical problem that is not an emergency but can’t wait until we reopen, call 217-6804 and our answering service will have a provider call you. Appointments
- Call 217-6804 to make appointments. Whenever
possible we will make the appointment with your chosen provider. However, there may
be times when he or she is not available at the time you would like your
appointment. In that case, you will be scheduled with a member of your
provider’s team. Cancellation of Appointments - If you can’t keep your appointment, please call 217-6804 to let us know. We ask that you cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment, if possible, so that we can give another patient that time. Prescription Refills - Please call 217-6804 a few days before your prescription runs out. Because other patients are also asking for refills, we need at least 2 business days to get your prescription ready. Please note that prescriptions cannot be refilled during the weekend. Lab and Test Results - At your appointment, your nurse or provider will tell you how to get your lab results. Medical Records – The information in your record is confidential and will not be given out without your written permission. If you want your records given out, please come to the office or mail your request telling us where the records should be sent. There may be a charge for this service. Return of Telephone Calls - Because our providers have a full-schedule of patients to see each day, they may not be able to return your call until the end of the day or a nurse may return your call on their behalf. Payment for Services - Services are available to everyone. We participate with most insurances and accept Medical Assistance and Medicare. We have a sliding fee scale for those who qualify, and we will work with patients to set up a payment plan if necessary. Your payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made. Billing Questions - Call our Billing Office at 709-1222 Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm if you have a question about your bill. Complaints, Suggestions, or Comments - We welcome your concerns, suggestions, and comments so we can continue to make our services better. Please talk to any of our staff if you have a concern or comment. If your concerns remain unanswered, you have the right to notify the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations at www.jcaho.org or by calling 1-800-994-6610.
